How do I remove fuel smell from new leather shoes?
I just bought a new pair of shoes from DSW, and they have a strong fuel smell. They are from China, so I assume the smell is from the contrainer they travelled across the ocean in. I work in an office and some of my cubicle neighbors are commenting on the smell. HELP!

what kind of material are they made of? I would think just letting them air out over time, the fuel should evaporate eventually, if they are leather, you could try using saddle soap on them, then wax them or spray them with water repellent to seal the leather and possibly reducing the smell. also you could shake some baking soda in them and let it absorb the odor....
