How can I make this bag?
I've seen girls at school make these very squishy, big, round fabric bags in sewing class.
It's sort of a hobo slouch bag.
This crocheted bag is exactly the shape, but I don't want to crochet it.

It's really important to me that the handles are part of the sides of the bag. I don't want handles that look separated from it, like this.
I don't want a stiff bottom. I want the whole bag to be one big pouch with a soft, rounded bottom.

Hi! I have sewn lots of purses and bags. What I've done is bought the bag from the store, lay the bag on tissue paper, and traced the bag with pencil onto the tissue paper. You have to study the bag, see how it's put together, look where all the seams are. Then, look at the tissue paper with the tracings, straighten lines, check measurements with a ruler. Cut out the pieces like you would a sewing pattern. Remember to leave a seam allowance to sew the pieces together. When you feel ready, return the purse to the store.
Another thing to try for custom bags is to check out your local thrift store or Salvation Army. Buy a cheap bag, cut it up, and use the pieces for patterns. I did this when I was a bridesmaid in a wedding. People were fascinated that I found a purse to match my dress exactly.
